"Starting my journey at UIUC in 2016 as a first-generation student, I was eager yet overwhelmed. Joining ALPFA not only provided a sense of belonging but also inspired me through the experiences of my peers and professionals within the organization. This exposure led to my growth from a membership chair to the president of my chapter.

The network I established in ALPFA guided me to a Protiviti networking session, marking the beginning of my professional journey. Interning at Protiviti in their internal audit and financial advisory IT solution, I found another supportive environment that further nurtured my professional growth. 

Moving back to South Florida, I felt a void in terms of community service. The ALPFA Miami Professional chapter filled this gap, where I served as the VP of Student Affairs. With the support of my chapter, we expanded our reach, forming two additional student chapters and hosting the Southeast Symposium with over 200 students.

Last year at Protiviti, I was privileged to undertake a rotational role that provided me with a unique perspective on how national organizations such as ALPFA, NABA, and Ascend collaborate with Fortune 500 companies, including Protiviti. This role expanded my understanding of ALPFA's broad influence and its commitment to supporting professionals across all career stages. As I transition back to my audit role, this experience proves invaluable in fostering a big-picture mindset. 

My association with ALPFA has come full circle - from being a student seeking direction to aiding students in finding their place and voice within a supportive community. I am deeply thankful for the opportunities ALPFA has provided and continues to offer me."​
